"I have found these tapes to be quite effective for our sun downers. They are very calming, and soothing". -- Sue Pardee, Activity Director, Immanuel Care, Peoria, AZ
"We use PROTECTING LOVE for our lower functioning Alzheimer's unit. The music is very mild, and it is good for our residents. They like it". - Jane - Assistant Director, Sun Health Residence for Alzheimer's Care. Letter from Lakeside Manor Alzheimer's Residential Care:
September 25, 2001
Where can I start???? The tapes and music you have brought us is just wonderful!!! What is does for our residents is nothing short of miraculous. For the reader, let me back up. We are Lakeside Manor, a home for Alzheimers and dementia residents, open since 1994, taking care of 12 lucky folks at a time. Through the years we have bought and tried every product and program offered to help our residents. They have all had their moment, but it never has been lasting. When Diana called, skeptically I listened to her offer to just have the residents listen to her tapes and let them be the judge ... no charge. The results were astounding! And, the more agitated the resident had been, the greater the effect. We had residents who no longer conversed with us singing like the church choir. Folks that would not participate in any activity joined in. The "Wanderers" stopped wandering and came to the music. It was extraordinary to watch. The staff stood dumbfounded. Here was an "activity" that worked, the only one we've ever had that works every time and gets the greatest participation. They insisted on buying all the tapes. That was months ago. The effect is still the same. Diana, thank you for putting together this work of art, compassion and love. It provides a soothing change of spirit and soul that is unparalleled. Very Respectfully Yours, Daniel L. Bailey Licensee, Administrator and Cook Lakeside Manor, 9308 Emerald Grove Avenue, Lakeside, CA 92040 (619) 561-8626 www.lakesidemanor.org
Letter from Poly Mowrey, Litchfield, AZ "I wanted to take a minute and share with you the impact your music and message prayers have meant to my mother who has been diagnosed with terminal Alzheimer’s. She is confined to a nursing home where the activities director plays your tapes. What a tremendous blessing they are to everyone. They join in the "Our Father" prayer and sing along (these are patients who no longer speak). My mother as a child received Christ as her Savior, but has drifted away through the years. At age 82 she is being restored to Him through the Holy Spirit’s anointing of your ministry. We both will sit and listen and weep together. Thank you dear one.
Christian Pharmacists Fellowship International Newsletter, Spring 1996:
I have listened to Diana’s music tapes, and took COMFORTING LOVE to the nursing home and played it for my mother who has Alzheimer’s. You would not believe how it affected her; it brought smiles, nods and words. One of the aides hearing the music said "that would be a blessing to many of these people here." I can understand why Diana’s ministry of hope, comfort, healing and assurance is such a blessing to people in hospitals, hospices, nursing homes and those who are dealing with grief and loss or depression. I highly recommend them to you. You won’t be sorry. The tapes truly bring a profound peace and presence of God through the ministry of her music and the prayer. Music is truly medicine for the soul. -- Warren E. Weaver
