This music is used internationally in convalescent hospitals as therapy. For those in ministry, it can be used in the following ways:
- For Bible studies, all scriptures prayed after each song are listed on the CD tray card. Play a song, then do a study on the prayer through the scriptures. (Note: Be sure to purchase the cd in the jewel case, not in the paper sleeve, to receive the scripture information).
- As a sing-a-long, used the large print songbooks that go with each CD. They are plastic covered for protection, and arranged in the booklets in the order they are recorded on each CD.
- For room visits – this is an ideal tool. Always ask the patient if it is okay to play them the hymns (not religious songs, or church songs). With the songbook, you can sing a long with Diana. This is a great way of softening the listener’s heart so you can pray with them afterwards.
- To get involved in this type of a ministry in convalescent hospitals, call a hospital and always ask for the Activity Director. She/he will educate you how to volunteer at their facility.
You will be blessed!!!
A terminally ill elderly male patient who would normally not listen to anything. Betsy Morrison (an activity director) told him, "This music tape will help you feel better". She showed him how to remove the headset – in case he did not want to hear the tape, Heavenly Assurance. Betsy said that it is different when the patients are dying. They are more open to the gospel at that time.
The patient listened to the auto reverse cassette player until the batteries died! The next day, he prayed the sinner’s prayer with a visiting family member of another resident. He died the following day.

A Nurse's Testimony for her Patient's Spiritual Well-Being
I am a nurse who attends a Messianic congregation. I took care of a patient whose ethnic background was Jewish for 2 1/2 years. She had congestive heart failure, and arthritis. I worked for her three times a week. She shared with me how she never went to a temple in her life. She never read any religious books or articles. She felt religion was for people who needed a crutch. Occasionally, I would sing Jewish songs while taking care of her. She always seemed to enjoy this, and calmed down. At other times, she was extremely anxious. During the last month of this patient's life, I asked her if she would like to listen to HEAVENLY ASSURANCE (Vocal). She agreed to this. I put a headset on her so she could be alone with her thoughts. As she listened to side one of the cassette, I could see tears on her face. When the tape ended, she asked to hear side two. In the 2 1/2 years I have worked for her , this was the first time she ever showed any emotions.
Normally, her attention span was very short. She listened intently to the message on this tape. It was time for me to go home. I said goodbye, and she was still very pensive. When I saw her two days later, she told me she prayed to God. She had a peace now she did not have before.
