This tape is "a meditative presentation of scriptural promises of eternal life through prayer and song". Diana beautifully plays a selection of ten popular hymns on her autoharp while gently and serenely singing.
Her music soothed and calmed our residents whose faith has been an important part of their life. Playing the tape on an individual basis, e.g., in their room or in a quiet area, provided the resident with the privacy to be with his/her own thoughts, and was found to be more effective.
HEAVENLY ASSURANCE is suitable for any level of functioning, from comatose to the highest level, based upon the individual's prior history.
This resource is unlike other tapes of hymns in that it includes narratives of scriptural promises which seem to help the resident focus on the meanings of the hymns. Based upon the individual's background, this tape can provide comfort, reassurance, and feelings of peace, especially for those who are seriously ill."
